The platform is an innovative solution which will funnel consumers from video research to purchase via a ‘buy now’ direct call to action (CTA).
The brand version allows manufacturers and brands to sell their products from their own websites without excluding their retailers.
Essentially, it turns a brands website into a B2B2C portal.
A visiting consumer can watch the product videos and then buy direct from a retailer’s e-commerce site.
With the retailer version of the ivPlayer the right hand menu displays the various channels (i.e brands, categories, special offers, news, ‘How to’ videos etc) with the videos appearing in the left hand menu.
The consumer can watch the product videos and click a ‘buy now’ button – which can either place the product in the e-commerce cart/basket or take the consumer to the product page to make the purchase.
There is also an option to complete the purchase from within the ivPlayer, further reducing the consumer purchase journey.
Retailers can have a static image or animated gif as an alternative to fully embedding the ivPlayer on their site. This avoids taking up too much space or requiring page re-design. In this case the ivPlayer would pop-up in a window showing single or multiple brands’ products.
This button gives brands the option of creating a digital video campaign using their existing network of retailers. Ideal for showcasing new products or special offers with a direct ‘Buy Now’ call to action.
This can be deployed either with full embeds or the button which opens the ivPlayer in a pop-up window.
The ivPlayer then streams the brands’ product video’s, to participating e-commerce sites, with a direct ‘Buy Now’ call to action for consumers.
